Virgin Atlantic is rapidly deploying Starlink, the low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite internet system, across its fleet. All 12 Airbus A350-1000 aircraft are expected to be equipped with Starlink by early summer 2026, with installations having commenced in May 2026. The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners will begin receiving Starlink in the second half of 2026, with approximately two-thirds of this fleet anticipated to be completed by the end of 2026. The rollout will then extend to the Airbus A330neo fleet, with full fleet-wide Starlink connectivity projected by the end of 2027. Until retrofitted, Boeing 787 and A330neo aircraft continue to use legacy Inmarsat GX or Panasonic systems. The older A330ceo (A330-300) fleet is being retired and will not receive Starlink.
