All passengers on Japan Airlines' domestic flights can enjoy unlimited free Wi-Fi. This comprehensive service, available since 2017, includes unlimited video streaming, web browsing, and email services. The free streaming-capable service was expanded across JAL, JTA, and J-AIR Embraer 190s effective October 1, 2024, with JTA flights following in late December 2024.
International Premium Cabin Benefits
For international flights, First Class and Business Class passengers receive unlimited free Wi-Fi for the entire duration of their flight. This benefit became effective on October 1, 2024. To access this unlimited service, a separate promotion code is required. Additionally, JMB Diamond and JGC Premier members are eligible for 40 free 24-hour international Wi-Fi session promotion codes per service year, valid from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027. These codes are specifically for aircraft equipped with Panasonic Avionics Wi-Fi service.
Free Hour for Economy and Premium Economy
Passengers traveling in Premium Economy and Economy Class on JAL-operated international flights are provided with one hour of complimentary Wi-Fi. This free hour, which also began on October 1, 2024, allows passengers to browse the web, check social media, and send and receive messages. After the complimentary hour expires, passengers have the option to purchase additional time to continue using the service. It is important to note that this free hour does not apply to codeshare flights.
