Paid WiFi Packages and Pricing

These packages typically come with varying data allowances, from smaller bundles for quick messages to larger ones for more prolonged browsing. Pricing can differ based on the package selected and whether it is purchased before or during the flight. For instance, in 2025, a 20MB package could start from approximately US$1.50 when purchased pre-flight, increasing to around US$5 if bought onboard. In 2020, an 'unlimited' plan was offered for THB 375, though speeds were throttled after 200MB of usage.
Purchasing and Value Tips
To potentially secure better rates, it is often advisable to purchase your WiFi package prior to your flight departure. Payment for AirAsia WiFi plans can typically be made using major credit and debit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Other payment options like PayPal, local bank transfers, or counter payments may also be available depending on your region. To maximize value, assess your actual data requirements; smaller packages are suitable for essential messaging, while larger ones offer more flexibility for general browsing. Always check the AirAsia WiFi portal or the AirAsia app for the most current package details and any ongoing promotions.
