Current FlyNet Premium Pricing
For flights still operating with the Viasat-powered FlyNet service, Lufthansa offers several premium pricing tiers. On short and medium-haul flights, a pass for up to 90 minutes costs $7, or €6 or 2,000 Miles & More miles. A full flight pass for flights over 90 minutes is $9, or €8 or 2,600 Miles & More miles.
For long-haul journeys, a two-hour pass is priced at $18 or 5,000 Miles & More miles. A full flight pass for the entire long-haul journey costs $27 or 8,300 Miles & More miles. Prices can vary based on demand and time of day, so listed long-haul figures are minimums.
Payment Options and Value
Passengers can purchase FlyNet Premium using major credit cards, PayPal, or by redeeming Miles & More miles. The existing FlyNet Premium service offers speeds up to 4 Mbps, suitable for general browsing and social media.
With the Starlink rollout, the value proposition is shifting, as the new high-speed service will be free for Miles & More and Travel ID users.
Strategies to Pay Less
To minimize costs, passengers can utilize the complimentary FlyNet Messaging service available to all Miles & More and Travel ID members for basic communication. For full internet access, consider creating a free Miles & More or Travel ID account, as this will grant you free high-speed Starlink access on equipped aircraft.
HON Circle members and First Class passengers already receive free premium Wi-Fi on the current FlyNet system. Pre-purchasing FlyNet access online may also offer discounted rates compared to onboard purchases.
