We're still verifying ITA Airways's current WiFi facts. The FAQs below cover general industry patterns — for ITA Airways-specific reports, search a flight or check the data hub.
WiFi Package Pricing
The cost of ITA Airways' in-flight WiFi varies depending on the aircraft type, the route (short, medium, or long-haul), and the duration of the flight. While specific fleet-wide pricing is not always published, examples from an A220 flight in late 2024 included packages such as Messaging for $5, Navigation for $10, and Maximum speed for $15, all valid for the entire flight.
Value and Performance
With the introduction of Starlink high-speed satellite internet in 2026, the value proposition for paid WiFi packages is expected to improve significantly, offering robust connectivity for various online activities. Historically, some passengers have reported mixed experiences with the WiFi, occasionally noting it to be slow or prone to disconnects.
Ways to Potentially Pay Less
Beyond the complimentary messaging options for all passengers and extended free messaging for Business Class on specific routes, the upcoming Starlink rollout in 2026 will offer free WiFi to Travel ID registrants and loyalty status holders. While ITA Airways has a Volare frequent flyer program, direct payment for WiFi using Volare points has not been consistently confirmed as an option, with some reports indicating it is not available.
