Ryanair WiFi Availability 2026
As of 2026, Ryanair does not offer in-flight Wi-Fi on any of its aircraft. The airline's fleet, which consists primarily of Boeing 737-800 and 737 MAX 8-200 jets, operates without internet connectivity.
Future Connectivity Outlook
Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary publicly rejected Starlink in January 2026, citing an estimated 2% fuel-burn drag penalty from current antenna technology and a weak willingness-to-pay among short-haul passengers. However, Ryanair has indicated it expects to add free Wi-Fi within three to five years, once antenna technology improves to eliminate such fuel penalties and costs fall. The airline is currently in discussions with several providers, including Starlink, Amazon Web Services, and Vodafone. As of May 2026, no specific rollout date has been announced.
