Starlink: Free for Connected Flights
For flights operated by Starlink-equipped Boeing 777, Airbus A350, and Boeing 787 aircraft, Qatar Airways provides its high-speed Wi-Fi service completely free of charge. There are no pricing tiers or paid plans for Starlink connectivity on these flights, making it a significant value proposition for passengers.
To access the complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi for the full flight, passengers simply need to be a Qatar Airways Privilege Club member. Non-members can also enjoy 45 minutes of free access and can easily enroll in the Privilege Club onboard to continue using the service without cost.
Legacy Wi-Fi on Non-Starlink Aircraft
On aircraft not yet equipped with Starlink, such as some Airbus A380s or A330s, Qatar Airways offers a different, legacy Wi-Fi service. For these flights, Privilege Club members receive one hour of complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi. Additionally, Qatar Student Club members enjoy unlimited free internet access.
For other passengers on these non-Starlink equipped flights, Wi-Fi passes are available for purchase. These passes start at $10 when bought onboard. Passengers can also receive a 20% discount by purchasing their Wi-Fi pass before the flight, reducing the cost to $8.
