Malaysia Airlines WiFi Cost: Prices & Plans 2026
Wondering what Malaysia Airlines charges for in-flight WiFi? Tiers, day passes, and every legitimate way to pay less — or nothing at all.
Still Tracking
We're still verifying Malaysia Airlines's current WiFi facts. The FAQs below cover general industry patterns — for Malaysia Airlines-specific reports, search a flight or check the data hub.
No WiFi Purchase Required
As of 2026, Malaysia Airlines has transitioned its in-flight WiFi to a fully complimentary model for all passengers on equipped aircraft. This means there is no longer a need to purchase WiFi packages to access the MHconnect service. The previous pay-per-use options have been superseded by this enhanced offering.
Value of Unlimited Connectivity
The complimentary and unlimited nature of MHconnect offers significant value to travelers. Passengers can stay connected with loved ones, browse the internet, and even manage work-related tasks without incurring additional costs. This contrasts with many other airlines that still charge for in-flight internet or offer limited free access.
Mobile Roaming is Separate
While MHconnect provides free WiFi, it is important to note that mobile roaming services are a separate offering. If you choose to use mobile roaming on selected A350 and A330 aircraft, charges for text messages, voice calls, and other data services will be determined by your personal mobile service provider, not Malaysia Airlines. To avoid unexpected charges, ensure data roaming is turned off if you only intend to use the free MHconnect WiFi.
