AIRCRAFT: Airbus A320neo
STARLINK: Phased rollout of Starlink is commencing at the end of 2025; some Airbus A320neo aircraft are equipped with ViaSat.
SAS Scandinavian Airlines is in the process of introducing free, high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi across its entire fleet, with a phased rollout scheduled to begin at the end of 2025. As of today, December 15, 2025, this implementation is just starting, meaning Starlink may not be universally available on all flights.
For the Airbus A320neo aircraft, which commonly operates flight SK255 between Oslo and Bergen, a significant portion of the fleet is equipped with ViaSat Wi-Fi. Approximately 44 out of 74 Airbus A320neo aircraft have "top-modern ViaSat WiFi" installed. Some reports from 2023 indicate that Wi-Fi on the A320neo worked well, with complimentary access for business class passengers. However, other discussions from late 2024 suggest that Wi-Fi on SAS flights within Europe can be "very rare" and inconsistent, with older A320neos more likely to have it than newer ones. EuroBonus members are expected to receive free access to the new Starlink service once it is fully implemented.
