Anuvu provides Ku-band satellite connectivity and content services to airlines, cruise lines, ferry operators and government customers. Its airline footprint is smaller than Intelsat, Viasat, or Panasonic, with a focus on charter, leisure, and select scheduled carriers; on the maritime side it sits alongside Marlink, Speedcast and Inmarsat as a wholesale Ku-band provider for legacy GEO deployments.

### History

Global Eagle Entertainment formed in 2013 through the combination of Row 44 (aviation connectivity) and Advanced Inflight Alliance (content). It served Southwest Airlines, Norwegian, and a roster of charter operators. After financial difficulties, Global Eagle filed Chapter 11 in 2020 and emerged in 2021 as Anuvu.
